IMPACT-DRIVEN BUSINESS MODELS AND INNOVATIONS. Building Resilient Impact Economies in Times of Global Turmoil

This session will spotlight efforts by GSG Impact’s National Partners and allies across 46 countries to build impact economies—ecosystems where policy, investment, and business align to drive social, environmental, and financial outcomes. As sustainable finance gains momentum globally, the discussion will focus on mobilising catalytic capital for SMEs, including through wholesale impact funds; creating enabling environments through policy innovation, transparency, and impact accounting; and unlocking domestic capital to finance the SDGs, particularly in the Global South. The session will also promote cross-border collaboration between public and private actors to scale impact across borders and sectors.

This session is co-organized by GSG Impact, SpainNAB – Consejo Asesor para la Inversión de Impacto, AECID – Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation, COFIDES – Spanish Development Finance Institution, and IDRC – International Development Research Centre. Additional participants include representatives from Impacto Colombia, Aliados de Impacto Perú, British International Investment, Impact Investing Ghana / Ci Gaba Venture Capital Limited, and FinAfrique Partners.
